Chapter 2 : A whole new world

From what I experience, almost nothing in your high school years would be more compatible to a life in campus in Bintulu
UPM Bintulu campus from far

Here, I don’t just learn about animals and wild life conservation but also to learn to be more:

  •                   Independent
  •                 Committed to my work
  •                   Stronger in facing hard bitter moments
  •                   Compassion towards animals, mankind and the environment
  •                   Obedient towards my parents, elders, religion and god
  •                   Excited the wild thrills that makes life enjoyable, full of memories.
  •                   Etc….
My DKHP Coursemate, kinah and a lamb(Get up close and personal with other agricultural wildlife)

It’s a great experience not just for an outsider of the Borneo world, but for all which includes me, a born peninsular teen who is now a diploma of animal health and production student in this campus, UPM Campus Bintulu.
Experience the on field lifestyle
But believe this when I tell you, the environment here is one of the most enjoyable environment to live in. The people here are so friendly and kind. There are quite plenty Muslim food stalls to go and have your meals like Selera Kampong, Dapur Usu,Soto Nor Café and many more. For a UPM student, the KK (KSR Cafe), which is near to our hostel and the FC (Food Court),which is near to our library,PI (Mosque), HEP(Campus administer building) and “Bilik Kuliah”.
For transportation, don’t blame the taxi drivers or Bintulu authority for the high fees of taxi. Remember, Bintulu’s main money source is their petroleum gas. But no worries, the seniors here in UPM gave a cheaper services for transport. Other option, find as many friends to join you for a taxi or be a regular customer for a taxi and get a cheaper price.
To top it off, life in UPM Campus Bintulu is awesome and surprising as much as a kid getting his/her first birthday present. So, for all you future refreshment of UPM KB and my future junior, no worries, cause life here is an adventure of a lifetime.

                                     Signing off,
                                                    Maziatul Husna Khairuzaman,
                                                                           (10th generation of UPMKB DKHP)

Be a part of our DKHP family – Tip 2:
Once you got your personality up right where you wanted, put your game face on and try to always be prepare for everything. That includes for an unplanned speech, a second plan in action mode and many more. But don’t be all so stress out and enjoy your lifetime experience to be who you are and not some robotic follow-scrip mode.
Plus, be proud for all the presentation or speech you have presented and find the weakness of it to improve you skills and reduce the scary stage frights and butterflies.
